What is VOUX™ Skincare?

VOUX Skincare is a founder-led Korean skincare brand, shaped by a mother-daughter collaboration that includes an RN perspective, built around the proprietary Trilight Complex® — a formulation approach expressed through three targeted ampoule serums (Red, Blue, and Purple), formulated and manufactured in partnership with a skilled team in Seoul, South Korea. Each ampoule pairs clinical actives with thoughtfully selected botanicals to help support smoother, more balanced, and more radiant-looking skin.

What is an ampoule, and how is it different from a serum?

An ampoule is a small-batch, high-concentration formula — think of it as a serum's more potent sibling. Because ampoules use less filler and carrier ingredients, active ingredients like PDRN, peptides, or tranexamic acid can be formulated at higher concentrations. In Korean skincare, ampoules are traditionally used as an intensive, targeted step rather than an everyday moisturizing serum. What is the Trilight Complex®?

The Trilight Complex® is VOUX's proprietary formulation approach — the deliberate way we bring clinical actives and thoughtfully selected botanicals together within each targeted formula. It's expressed across all three VOUX ampoules — Red, Blue, and Purple — each built around a specific skin goal: Purple (Hydration + Glow), Red (Rejuvenation + Renewal), or Blue (Clarity + Calm). The ampoules are designed to be used individually or layered together as a complete routine.

How do I know which VOUX ampoule is right for me?

It depends on what your skin needs most right now:

• Red Ampoule (Rejuvenation + Renewal) — best if your skin shows fine lines, fatigue, or a loss of firmness.
• Blue Ampoule (Clarity + Calm) — best if your skin feels irritated, congested, or out of balance, including post-shave sensitivity.
• Purple Ampoule (Hydration + Glow) — best if your skin feels dry, dull, or in need of a brighter, more radiant look.

What ingredients are in each VOUX ampoule?

Red Ampoule: PDRN-family DNA-fragment technology, niacinamide, a multi-molecular hyaluronic acid complex, an 8-peptide complex, adenosine (a Korea MFDS-recognized anti-wrinkle active), and beta-glucan.
Blue Ampoule: Centella Asiatica (Cica) with isolated actives Madecassoside and Asiaticoside, niacinamide (Vitamin B3), zinc PCA, heartleaf (Houttuynia Cordata), and licorice root.
Purple Ampoule: Tranexamic acid, niacinamide, multi-molecular hyaluronic acid, glutathione, and licorice root extract.

Are VOUX ampoules fragrance-free?

Yes. All three VOUX Trilight Complex® ampoules are formulated without added fragrance and are designed to be gentle enough for sensitive skin. As with any new skincare product, we recommend a patch test before full use.

Is VOUX cruelty-free?

Yes, VOUX is a cruelty-free brand.

Where is VOUX Skincare made?

VOUX is founder-led and formulated and manufactured in partnership with a skilled team in Seoul, South Korea.

How do I use VOUX ampoules, and can I layer more than one?

Apply a few drops to clean skin, gently pressing into the face and neck, then layer under moisturizer (and SPF in the morning). Purple works well in the morning to support hydration and glow, Red is best at night to support overnight renewal, and Blue can be used morning or evening as needed. Yes — all three ampoules are designed to be layered together as a complete routine, or used individually.

Can I use VOUX ampoules with tretinoin or other retinoids?

It depends on which ampoule:

• Purple is a favorite pairing for retinoid users — its lightweight, fragrance-free hydration helps support the skin barrier while you're using a retinoid.
• Blue also pairs well, thanks to its calming, barrier-supportive profile (niacinamide, panthenol, zinc PCA) — many customers use it alongside retinoids for extra comfort.
• Red is not recommended on the same night as a retinoid or tretinoin. Both are potent renewal-focused actives, and stacking that much active load can increase the chance of irritation. Use Red on nights you're not applying a retinoid.

If your skin is new to retinoids or feels sensitized, patch test first and check with your dermatologist or provider.

Can I use VOUX ampoules with vitamin C?

Yes. Many customers use Purple (hydration) or Red (renewal) in the morning after a vitamin C serum, then layer moisturizer and SPF on top. As with any active combination, introduce slowly and patch test first.

Can I use VOUX ampoules after microneedling or other in-office procedures?

VOUX ampoules are fragrance-free and gentle, which is part of why we built a dedicated Professional Partner Program for medspas and skincare professionals. That said, always follow your provider's specific aftercare instructions, since timing can vary by procedure and individual skin sensitivity.

Are VOUX ampoules safe to use with LED light therapy?

Generally, yes. None of VOUX's three formulas are built around the ingredients most commonly flagged around LED sessions (retinoids, exfoliating acids), so they're considered a comfortable fit before or after a session. See our full guide on using VOUX with LED light therapy for details.

Is VOUX skincare good for men?

Yes. The Blue Ampoule in particular is formulated with niacinamide, centella, and zinc PCA, making it well suited to post-shave comfort and to balancing oilier or reactive skin.

What is VOUX's return policy?

VOUX offers a 30-day guarantee on unopened, unused products in their original packaging — contact us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Once a product has been opened or used, all sales are final due to the nature of skincare products, except for items that arrive damaged or defective, which are eligible for a free replacement or refund within 7 days of delivery. How long does shipping take?

VOUX ships within the United States and Canada. US orders are processed within 1–3 business days via standard shipping (3-5 business days, free on orders over $100). Is VOUX Skincare related to VOÛ skincare or any other similarly named brand?

No. VOUX Skincare is a US-based, founder-led brand sold exclusively at vouxskin.com. We are not affiliated with VOÛ skincare (vousskincare.com), a separate skincare company based in Berlin, Germany — the names sound similar, but the two brands, founders, products, and countries of origin are entirely unrelated.
